Athletic Mentoring and NFL Advice
from Washington’s Antomius Wise
Sports is the stage where individuals or groups get the opportunity to showcase their many talents, hard work, and strategy for a certain length of time. The key to success in sports and life is realizing you’re in the moment and seizing the opportunity. We all get 24 hours each day; what are you doing with yours to get the results you desire.
Geared toward student-athletes playing at the recreational, high school, and college levels. The main goal of this program is to help athletes reach their full potential. Being a former athlete (college and pro) and now Special Agent, Antomius understands what it takes to get to the highest levels inside and outside the white lines. He also knows how to plan for a future outside of sports if/when your playing days end.
This course is for those who want to increase their chances of getting into the NFL.
As a 5-year-old kid, Antomius promised his mom that he was going to the NFL. She passed away three years later. He worked every day to fulfill that promise to her. His last year of college was at a small school, but he still made his way into camp with an NFL team. Nothing is impossible if you set yourself up for success. We all have goals we'd like to achieve, but most dreams take time to come to fruition. You must live, function, and bring value to all facets of your life while you’re on that path. This is what Antomius calls being patient while you strive toward your goals.
Setting a minor goal every day helps tremendously! Having an open mind to change something if it’s ineffective is also key. You don’t want to continue doing the same thing over and over if it’s not working. That’s insanity. It is sometimes necessary for us to put pride aside for a moment and be open to making changes to find a solution. Change the plan, not the dream.
Many of you dream of making it to the professional level, too. Antomius is here to tell you that it’s a tough and challenging road, but it can dramatically increase your chances if you follow his strategies. Once you get there, it’s on you to stay healthy, seize the moment and capitalize on that “once in a lifetime” opportunity.
